Mr. Walsh is lucky enough to be an English teacher for some of the most talented kids in the country. When his head hits the pillow at night, he’s grateful to have been given the chance to make a difference in the lives of these fantastic young adults.
Mr. Walsh received his BA degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and his MA from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He’s taught eighth grade English for the last eighteen years and figures to retire in about twenty more.
Mr. Walsh began writing as a contributing reporter for the United Football League’s inaugural season, providing coverage of the New York Sentinels for the league’s web site and press materials, until the travel became problematic. He took on his very own column, Walsh’s Wonderings, in Hersam-Acorn newspapers soon thereafter. His work appears every other week in the following papers:
New Canaan Advertiser
Mr. Walsh is married to a woman far beyond his station and the proud father of three disobedient dogs. A failed sailor, weak guitarist, and horrific golfer, Mr. Walsh looks to his writing as a last resort. He’s also managed to start off each of the last three paragraphs with his own name, a feat that’d make Narcissus proud.
Mr. Walsh (yep, did it again) always looks forward to hearing from you. You can email him at RobertFWalshMail@gmail.com.
